FAQ's

What clothes should I bring in?
We suggest customers bring a couple of sets of clothes - for variety in the shots and also incase of accidents. Even a quick change of tops can give the photos some variety.

It does depend on a child's colouring as to what will work best for them - for example, olive skin tones look great with whites & pastels, fair skin works better with stronger colour so they aren't washed out. Blue-eyed children look great in blue etc.

If a customer specifically wants black and white shots then we suggest going for high contrast - navy / blacks and white.

For group shots we encourage families to harmonise colours. Some suggestions: Denim and white colour scheme, all neutrals (browns, Olives, brick, camel), all blue-based tones etc. For sibling shots bright bold tops and denim bottoms are a great combination. Group shots also work best without busy patterns or logos on clothes.

How long will it take on the day?
Your GFP Families experience will take approximately one hour in total. This includes consultation for approx 10-15 minutes, studio sitting for approx 15 - 20 minutes (30 minutes if you have 3 children or more) and viewing your photos for approx 20 - 25 minutes.

How many photos will you take?
The standard pack contains 3 different set ups. The amount of shots taken per set up varies. Your photographer will shoot until they are satisfied they have captured the best expressions possible on the day.

How long before I see my photos?
You can see the photos immediately after the studio session. We have viewing stations where the photographer will show you all the images taken on the day.
A separate viewing session can also be made if you would prefer to come in at another time.
The photos will be delivered to you within 14 days.

Do I have to pay on the day?
There are no discounts for customers who pay on the day.  Customers are generally expected to pay the full amount and for those who do not - they must leave a deposit.  Affordable payment plans are still available.

Can I have more than 3 poses?
There is no sitting fee in the studios at all and customers can have more than 3 poses if requested.

Who will be my photographer?
There is a rotation system in place at the studios, however if you have had a particular photographer on previous visits and would like to request the same photographer, we can organise a session time to suit.

Can we have photos of babies without clothes on?
GFP will take photos of babies bare-chested, but for hygiene reason nappies always remain on.

What else do I bring on the day?
It's a good idea to bring along some favourite toys for the children to play with. They may also assist the photographer in getting smiles while in the studio.

You can opt to personalise your photographs with your child's toys, jewellery, sporting equipment, special mementoes etc

It might be a good idea to also bring in some snacks for after the photo shoot, to give to children during the viewing time. Food is best left until after the shoot because it can stain clothes and hands etc.

Can I have a photo with other siblings or a family shot?
Yes you are booked in for 3 poses and you can use them however you like.
