Where will the photographers be at my ceremony?
We are situated in the Union building. Signage will be displayed on the day for your convenience.

What sort of photographs will be taken?
Studio Portraits - On the day of your ceremony we will have portrait studios set up to take your photos.  Whether you require an individual portrait or unlimited extra poses (photographs) with family & friends, GFP Graduations provide an extensive range of packages or single photographs for you to choose from. Stage Presentation Photographs - All graduates will also be photographed at the point of handshake. These photographs can be viewed and orders placed via our web site at www.gfpgraduations.com.au 5 days after your graduation ceremony.

How long will it take to receive my order?
Please allow 10-15 working days for delivery in Australia, and 15-20 working days for international delivery. Any queries regarding the status of your order can be made by phoning our Customer Service Department on 1300 360 445 or by email at info@gfp.com.au. We guarantee speedy and safe delivery of your photographic products. Therefore should your order be damaged in any way please telephone our Customer Service Department for immediate resolution.

What time will the photographers start?
Our photography studios will be available 1.5 - 2 hours prior to the ceremony time. Once you are gowned, proceed straight to our photography studios to have your individual and family photos taken.

If your parents and friends are not with you at this time, we recommend you register at our photography studios and have your individual portraits taken. Your family photos can be taken after the ceremony. This helps in keeping waiting time to a minimum.

Please note: Graduates must be seated in Elder Hall 70 minutes prior to the ceremony commencing.

Do the photographers have to stop before the ceremony?
We need to cease photography prior to the ceremony to allow all graduates time to be seated. Our studios will reopen for photography immediately after the completion of the graduation ceremony.

If I don't come early, can I still have photos after the ceremony?
Photography will recommence immediately after the completion of the ceremony.

I have to leave immediately after the ceremony finishes, how can I have photos on the night?
We suggest that you arrive as early as you can before the ceremony.  Our studios are set up 1.5 - 2 hours before the ceremony for this purpose.  Please note: Photography is not conducted during the ceremony. 

I want to be early and have my photographs before the ceremony, but I don't have my certificate?
We will provide a suitable university scroll for this purpose.

Do I need to register my interest or make a booking?
No bookings are required, as we understand that graduates need to be flexible. Simply proceed to our studios before or after the ceremony.

Do you have staff to help me with my regalia?
Our staff will present your gown, colours and/or mortar board correctly. Small hand mirrors are available upon request to ensure you are happy with your appearance!

I have a large family, can they be included?
We actively encourage you to include family and friends in your portrait sitting.

What if I am returning overseas straight after the ceremony?
We will send your photographs to your overseas address. Postage charges of $15 is payable on the day. Please allow 21 days delivery.

I don't want to have photographs at my ceremony, can I come to the studio?
Yes our local studios are available for this purpose. Bookings are essential and a sitting fee of $40 will apply. Please ring customer service on 1300 360 445 to find the nearest studio.

Can you explain the photographic packages?

Is a Login required to view my stage presentation photos?
No login is required to view stage presentation images online.  Login details are only required to view studio portraits.

What if I am unhappy with my photos?
Our Quality Control Division chooses the best image for your package, however should there be a technical problem or an issue regarding the image chosen, please contact us to discuss your query. We will happily organise a complimentary studio re-shoot should you be unhappy with the photographic quality of any of your portraits.

 

GOWNING

Do I have to wear Academic Dress to participate in my Graduation Ceremony?
Yes.  You will be required to wear the prescribed academic dress for the Degree or Diploma in which you are graduating.  This includes a gown, a mortar board, hood and/or stole in the appropriate colour.

I am receiving a double degree, how do I order my gown?
If you are receiving both Degrees in the one ceremony, then you only need to place one order. Your order will show two stoles and/or two hoods of different colours, if necessary, as well as your gown and trencher.

If you are receiving your Degrees in separate ceremonies, then you will need to place two orders, one for each ceremony.

Please ensure you check the University's website to confirm your requirements.

How do I book my gown?
GFP Graduations provide an easy on-line solution to order and pay for your gown hire.  Simply go to www.gfpgraduations.com.auand follow the prompts.  Once you have completed your order you will receive an email confirmation.  Please present this confirmation at the Gowning counter to collect your gown.

When do I hire my gown?
You must book your gown a minimum of 3 days in advance of your Ceremony day (to avoid a late booking fee of $35).

How do I work out my Gown Size?
When you place your order online you will have the option to select your size e.g. very small, small, medium, large etc and we will also ask for your height, this will allow us to ensure you have the correct size. 

Where can I collect my gown?
Gowns can be collected from the Harry Medlin, North and South Dining Rooms, Level 4, Union Building at The University of Adelaide.  Directions to the Harry Medlin can be found using this link http://www.adelaide.edu.au/campuses/northtce/campusdetail/

When can I collect my gown?
If you have a morning ceremony - between 2pm-5pm on the day BEFORE your ceremony.
If you have an afternoon ceremony - between 9am-12pm on the DAY of your ceremony

When do I return my gown?
Gowns must be returned after you have finalized your photographic and graduation services to the Harry Medlin, North and South dining rooms, Level 4 Union Building, within 2 hours of the ceremony finishing. Failure to return your Academic Dress within this period will incur a late fee. Please refer to the Terms & Conditions below

What if I don't have credit card - can I pay cash?
We highly recommend you use our secure online ordering system to ensure availability. Your receipt will be emailed to you.  Please print and present this receipt at the Gowning counter to collect your academic dress.  Alternatively, you can contact GFP to make a booking to pay on the day using cash and/or debit transactions. 

Do I have to wear anything specific under my Gown?
It is important to note the gown is open at the front; therefore what you are wearing underneath is visible. It is for this reason we recommend you wear business attire, and comfortable shoes. It is also a good idea to remove jackets and coats before gowning as the gowns are quite heavy and can cause you to feel warm.
